The Second Coming

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Some Christians quote this Bible verse as if it’s the “only” verse that a person needs to be aware of to be saved – but salvation is more than just believing in Jesus. Being “saved” is a combination of believing that Christ died on the cross for our sins, And being able to read the Bible and discern Go’s truth in regard to each and every Christian doctrine.

The Jewish people had 1,400 years to read and study the Tanakh and prepare themselves for the 1st Coming of Jesus – but they misinterpreted the Old Testament prophecies and they were not ready when Jesus came…

Now it’s nearly time for the “2nd” Coming, and the Christian church has had over nineteen centuries to prepare itself for Jesus’ return – but is there a chance that we too might “get it wrong”? The fact of the matter is that Satan and his fallen angels have been working hard for centuries to deceive and lead people astray, and lead whole churches into error (Matthew 24:24) – and Satan has been very, very successful!

We can learn the simple truth about the Lord’s 2nd Coming by doing a diligent study of Scripture, and letting the Bible speak for itself without the adding in of any “pet theories” – because the doctrine of the 2nd Coming is a very simple doctrine.
