He was a gentile, a doctor by profession, a chronicler of early Christian history, and a missionary. He never met Jesus, yet he is the only Gospel to tell the full story of Christ—from His birth to His ministry, His sacrifice, and His return to heaven. Luke also includes 18 parables that are found nowhere else in the Gospels and more humor than any other New Testament writer.
